HPLC Column, RP C4 Butyl, 3um, 4.6mm ID x 50mm Length, 100A. Cogent Brand. 1 EA.
Additional Information:
Cogent RP C4 Butyl™ is a reversed-phase HPLC stationary phase designed for the separation of hydrophobic to moderately hydrophobic compounds. Manufactured using a traditional butyl (C4) bonded phase on ultra-high purity silica and fully double end capped, it provides reproducible retention, excellent peak shape, and reliable performance for routine analytical methods. As a USP L26 equivalent phase, it is commonly used for method replacement, method development, and applications where less retention is desired than with C8 or C18 columns.
68304-05P is an HPLC column packed with 3 µm RP C4 Butyl™ particles featuring a 100 Å pore size in a 4.6 mm ID x 50 mm format. The short 50 mm length is optimized for rapid analyses and increased sample throughput, while the 3 µm particles provide greater efficiency and sharper peaks than comparable 5 µm columns. Typical operating flow rates are approximately 0.8–1.5 mL/min depending on mobile phase composition, temperature, and instrument configuration.
This column is well suited for very hydrophobic and neutral compounds in reversed-phase chromatography, particularly when fast analysis times are desired. The C4 chemistry provides lower retention than C8 phases, making it useful for small molecules and applications where excessive retention can lengthen run times unnecessarily.
